Waterproof cartoon bibs - are they good?

I was shopping around for new bibs for my daughter because her existing stock is old coz I haven't bought new bibs since she was a few months old. :) I saw something in OG last week and they cost $7.90 each before discount and even with 10%, I would still need to pay over $7 for one waterproof bib. Then I decided to check out Gmarket and got to this seller's page.

See how happy my daughter is after I put one of it on her!

I bought a total of 5 bibs to save on shipping as I paid for registered mail. I've lost one item through normal delivery and reckon it is more worth while to pay for registered mail then have the item lost again.

Overall I would say this is really worthwhile as the material doesn't feel and look cheap. Not sure how long it is going to last me but for now I think it is a good buy as I only pay $3.06 for each bib after dividing the shipping and the registered mail for 5 bibs. Super worth it! :) Thanks seller for bringing such good bargain to us!

Suction bathroom holders

I am renovating my new place and need to install some holders in the bathroom to hold my shampoo and shower cream. So this link is very useful because it sells suction holders that do not require drilling of holes.

I've ordered 2 toilet paper holders and 2 corner triangle holders. Read the reviews that the product really holds tightly to the tiles and hopefully when I receive mine, they are really that good. Expected delivery date is 22 Jun.

Low Calories Zero Sugar Smoothies

Well, how tempting hor.. haha... low calories and zero sugar smoothies... just the title makes me want to give it a try. Especially when i have gained 3kg over the last 4 mths, damn it!

So instead of simply thinking of buying it, I placed my order tonight but this is a pre-order so i have to wait... hmmm... must be very popular for it to run out of stock leh...

I've tried meal replacement many many years ago but it never last long... I know one method works, counting calories and increasing your movement to boost your metabolism rate.

I did that before I got pregnant 2 years ago. Was counting calories everyday with barely just 1500 calories per day and exercising 2 times per week. Within 3 months, i lost 5 kg and then got pregnant! Although i have lost my pregnancy weight but the last 3 kgs simply never want to leave me... sob sob... so instead of losing the 3 kgs, now i have 6 kgs to lose.... wah kua... So tonight i shall start using my i zen slimming machine and count my calories tomorrow... heeehee.... there is always tomorrow, right? *wink*

Jabra T820 Wireless Bluebooth Earpiece

Ordered the Jabra T820 Bluetooth earpiece for home use so that I do not need to bring my USB headset every day just in case I need to work from home and need to have conference call. The pictures from Gmarket indicated it as a small piece of hanging bluetooth earpiece therefore I was attracted by the size and the price ($10.90 + $2.90 registered mail).

I placed the order on 9 June and received the item on 12 June, very fast delivery (3 working days) I must say! :) The next photo showed all the components that came in the box, i.e. charger and the earpiece.

Point to note is that the charger is a 2-pin plug so buyer need to be mindful of this. I have a traveller's adapter so was still ok to use this. Also partly my fault for not spotting this when browsing on the seller's page as I went back to check, there is a photo showing the 2-pin charger.

Another thing to point out is that this is only meant for right-ear user. It doesn't fit the left ear due to the design. Plus I let my husband tried on it and he was not able to fit the earpiece nicely because of big ear. The design is meant for small ears user only. To show the actual size, I've placed the earpiece next to my key pouch for comparison (pardon the mess on my table!)

Overall, still a good buy from the seller. :)

Genie Bra

I've been noticing this Genie Bra when I saw the advertisement on TV. Seems like very comfortable because I like to wear no wire bra at home and to sleep. Besides, this Genie Bra claims to be able to uplift the breasts even without wire and eliminate all the ugly bulges. Oh and not to mention it being seamless. Looking at the prices, it is also quite affordable so I went ahead to place my order and now wait patiently for them to arrive so that I can review. :)

Black Cardigan

Always looking for a nice black cardigan which I believe should be a staple in every woman's closet other than the little black dress.

You can see this piece is a long cardigan. Something different in my wardrobe. I like this piece because the black is very black. I mean there are some black cardigan who are not very black and some that look greenish black... But this piece IS black. It does have some slimming effect and the material is the same as the pink cardigan in my earlier post.

Just that because this piece is longer than the normal, it covers up to the buttock and a bit troublesome when you go to the toilet. Other than that, good quality and the tag says ZARA.

Hot Pink Cardigan

Hot Pink Cardigan : Item received within 2 weeks and seller actually gave me a call asking if I wanted to change another colour or design because my choice was out of stock. I told her I could wait and only 2 weeks to wait. Reliable seller! :)

Very nice hot pink, but size fit a normal L size. I'm an XL so this cardigan looks tight-fitting on me. haha.. Material is actually quite cooling, not those wool type.

Sigh.. must lose weight to wear this. LOL. Oh surprised to see the brand as indicated in the picture, not sure if it is real but quality is good for less than $20.

Clear crystal with dangling pearl

This is the 3rd pair of earrings from the same seller.

From the picture, it looks a little bit elaborated because there are some small crystals embedded on the pearl itself. Very demure looking after wearing it. :) Quality is definitely good considering the price ($4.90). I do not think one can get all these 3 pairs of earrings at $17 (including shipping) in any departmental stores with sales.

Another good thing about the seller is that delivery is really fast, within a week. Very acceptable given it was delivered from Seoul. Top grade seller! Pink crystal earrings

This is the 2nd pair from the same seller. A pair of pink crystal earrings:

There are other colour options but I chose pink for a change since most people would opt for clear crystal for easy matching of clothes. The actual item looks really nice with the sweet pink which is really very special and different. The only complain about this pair is that the loop can be longer as I have a pair of fat earlobes, heeeheee... So when I put this on, it leaves not much space in between the earlobe and the crystal. Still... for $5.90 a pair... what more can I complain??? haha... Bought 3 pairs of earrings and quality is quite good considering the price paid. Pearl Stud with Bow

Received my earrings purchase today, by hand courier. Happy to note that seller put my items in a small box and bubble wrap them. Ordered a total of 3 pairs of earrings to save on shipping ($4). Here is the review of the cheapest pair:

I called it the Pearl Stud with Bow. This is a refreshing option to the normal type of just the pearl stud. I must say the quality does not look cheap for the price ($1.90). It can easily cost $10.90 or $12.90 in any departmental stores. i zen body slimmer - a week later

Here's my measurement to begin with:

Hip - 96cm
Waist - 87cm
Thigh - 49.5cm
Calf - 41cm
Arm - 30cm

I was very excited upon the first usage. It actually felt good when the gadget was doing the work on your skin, something like a massager with more power. However if you do not have enough fats / flesh, then it actually does not felt that good. I tried using it on my lower back to relieve some lower back ache. The gadget's speed was too fast and the whole thing felt like it will spin off anytime if you do not hold tightly.

But when it touches areas where there are alot of flesh or fats, it is more stable. I was actually very determined to do it every night. But then I was so caught up with my shows and looking after my daughter (excuses and excuses...) that I only used the gadget for 3 times so far.

Today I finally musked up the courage to take the measurement again after using it for 3 times only. And I have to mention that the first time was whole body, i.e. I did arms, waist, thighs, calves and buttocks. But the next 2 times were only arms and waist and thighs.

So here is the results after using it for 3 times only:

Hip - 96cm (after: no change)
Waist - 87cm (after: no change "yucks!")
Thigh - 49.5cm (after: 48cm "yeah!")
Calf - 41cm (after: no change)
Arm - 30cm (after: 29cm "yeah!")

I've highlighted the areas that have gone down, despite using it only for 3 times. Amazing! I noticed the arms and thighs have the least muscles and most flabby, although I would think my tummy is equally flabbly, but coz I was snacking all through the nights due to my catching up on shows, heeheee...

So you see, it does seems like some areas show results in such a short span. I guess I'm alittle motivated to keep doing it on a more regular basis. 

i zen body slimmer

I recently bought the i-zen body slimmer from gmarket after watching the TV commercial on Channel U. Well, I admit I love watching those paid TV commercials because every item look and perform amazingly. How not to watch and be tempted to get one asap? LOL.

Now we are talking about a gadget that allows you to break down the deep fat deposits underneath the layers of our thick skin. Anyone tempted? If you read from my profile you know I'm a working mum. And I admit I'm lazy to exercise. Mind you, I do have a gym package in California Fitness but I'm just too lazy to even make a trip there.

So any method that doesn't require you to diet, exercise yet promise to lose weight and tone up seems like a dream, right? Luckily the i-zen gadget is not expensive so I decided to make my purchase from gmarket after some deliberations. Hey, I need to think carefully on every purchase in gmarket as it can be very addictive!

Will update this blog after I take down my measurement and really put this gadget to work. :)

My First Blog Post

Phew.... I finally made it! The thought of having my own blog has started many years back but I never get the chance to actually doing it... and finally today I decided it has to be today or NEVER... I've spent some years with a great online media company and know that content is KING. So if there is nothing interesting/controversial/provocative about my content, then no one is coming to my blog. I learnt a new phrase in my new job, i.e. "Best Effort". And best effort I will do to make this blog an interesting read. :)
